Quick answer
Beginner survivor wants to survive chases longer.
Looping is not just running in circles
Good looping means reading the killer, using a pallet or window at the right time, and moving toward the next safe area before you are trapped.
Use your camera
Look behind you during straight paths, then look forward before turning. New players often lose distance because they stare backward while running into objects.
Respect the team objective
A chase is good only if it buys useful time. If you lead the killer into teammates repairing a key generator, your long chase may still hurt the team.

Should I throw pallets early?
Throw strong pallets when going down would be worse. Saving every pallet is not useful if you get hooked immediately.
